Hello Again!

Hello friends!

I know, I haven’t made much progress in writing for this blog since I began it back in December, but to be honest, with my illnesses I’ve found writing so much harder than I thought it would be. It’s frustrating because I want to write, I love to write, yet I can’t, at least not very often, but I want more to be surrendered to the Lord and to use what strength I do have in spending time with Him. Anything worthwhile that I have to write comes from there anyway. So I can’t garrantee how often I’ll be able to post here but I do want to try be semi-consistent. You ill people out there will understand. 🙂

Before I disappear again I want to leave you with some encouragement for your day. I don’t know about you but I haven’t needed to live long before I realise that things in life change, sometimes majorly. I am in a season of change right now and have no idea what tomorrow may bring. With health symptoms that fluctuate from day to day and hour to hour, with a life that is up and down and a world that is constantly changing it is so amazingly comforting and reassuring that there is one person who will NEVER change, who is the same yesterday, today and forever – Jesus Christ. Pain or no pain, joy or sorrow, fulfilled desires or disappointment, hope or despair – He is always constant, always the same, always there.

“But you are the same, and your years have no end.” Psalms 102:27

“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

What a rock that truth is for our feet! What an anchor it is for our souls!

In closing, I love these words to a song I heard recently by Merideth Andrews

“After all You are Constant,

After all You are only good,

After all You are Sovereign,

Not for a moment will You forsake me.”

Friend, if you are His, He never will forsake you. He is faithful.

With love, ❤

Caitlin

PS. Here’s the link to a video of the song I quoted above. Be encouraged. 🙂
